How old do I have to be to volunteer at QUEST?

At least 14 years old with your parent or guardian at QUEST helping with you. 16 years old with a QUEST volunteer form filled out giving consent from your parent or guardian.


What should I wear?

Old clothes (you get pretty dirty at QUEST). Boots or sturdy shoes. NO flip flops.


How long do chores take?

Usually you can get done in an hour. Some volunteers stay longer and groom horses after feeding.


Will someone help me with chores?

Yes, you will be partnered up with other volunteers.


What does a volunteer do?

Volunteers may feed and water horses, clean stalls, move hay, groom horses, etc. Volunteers can help with summer horse camps. Volunteers can go through our training sessions to lead horses or be a sidewalker for therapy sessions. Some volunteers help condition horses. Volunteers help with fieldtrips and birthday parties. Some volunteers mow or help build fences. There is plenty to do for all skill levels at QUEST.
