QUEST Stables News!!

1Fence Project!

Drive by and see our newly stained white fences and arena. Thanks so much to the volunteers that spent their precious time for weeks and weeks helping. Especially thanks to Adams County Sheriff’s department for allowing the SWAP (Sheriff’s Work Alternative Program) to help hours and hours with the project. The fences look amazing!

2Lowes Community Project Day

We are thrilled that Lowe's chose QUEST Stables for a community service project. Lowe's donated the supplies and with lots of Lowe's employees volunteering their weekend QUEST was able to replace another section of old wire fencing with a wonderful wooden fence. The fence is so much safer for the rescue horses. We so appreciate Lowe's help with this project

3Outdoor arena replaced!

QUEST was awarded a grant from the Illinois Equine Industry Research and Promotion Board to completely replace the outdoor arena. The old arena was no longer safe to use due to rotting lumber, broken wires and damaged fencing. Volunteers spent just two weekends completing the project. Many thanks to everyone who helped

4Winter Water Problem Solved

QUEST was blessed to receive a donation of 3 automatic heater horse waters. They were install just in time before this past long, long cold winter. We are so thankful to Richard and Patti McNay. No more dragging hoses, 5 gallon buckets full of water or breaking ice everyday. Winter is so much easier for the volunteers! Literally we thought of the McNay's every frigid day of this past hard winter.

5Christmas in July

Quincy Farm & Home Supply did a "Christmas in July" fundraising event for the rescue horses. Customers simply took a horseshoe to the register with a much need item for QUEST. Caring supporters donated lots of feed and supplies to the Stables. We even took Fury, a QUEST pony, into the store for the event! He was on his best behavior and everyone loved meeting him.

6Hay!

Many, many thanks to everyone for the donated hay. Mr & Mrs Ed Watson, Rich Niemann, Dick McNay we are so grateful for friends like you.

7Recent Fundraisers

QUEST Derby held this past May was a huge success. Thanks to all involved with planning, donating, ticket sales, working the event, clean up etc. QUEST is so proud of our volunteers and supporters. Bodley Lodge #1 held a spaghetti dinner with proceeds benefitting QUEST. Wonderful organization and great food. QUEST could not exist without the kindness of amazing friends like these!

8Fall of 2017

Very proud of our volunteer, Tessa Bunn, for completing all the PATH curriculum, riding testing, etc. She now joins the crew as a certified Path Riding instructor at QUEST Stables.
